The Importance of Hobbies - Why They Matter in our Busy Lives
A few years ago I took up photography as a ‘serious’ hobby. ‘Serious’ meaning I invested in a new Canon camera and different lenses - wide angle, macro and a long lens (affectionately known as the ‘makes things far away much closer lens’ much to my photographer nephew’s chagrin). I love to travel both in the UK (Northumberland and Scotland are my two favourite places) and further afield and wanted a way to capture all the beauty I saw around me. Enter photography. It has got me out of the house and to places I would never have visited and leaves me with a physical reminder of wonderful trips to amazing places.
